Resi V2: How to Clear the Website Cache to Push Changes Live

Why your changes don't appear on the live site instantly, and exactly how to push them live using the cache clear function.

Why Do I Need to Clear the Cache?

Your property websites use a caching layer to serve pages as fast as possible to prospective renters. This means the site stores a recent version of your content rather than fetching fresh data on every single visit.

When you make a change in Resi, it's saved immediately — but the website's cached version doesn't update until you tell it to. Clearing the cache tells the site to fetch and display the latest content from Resi.

⏱️ After clearing the cache, the website checks for updates on a 60-second cycle. Depending on when you clear it, your change will appear within 1–2 minutes.

Step-by-Step: Clear the Cache (Most Common Method)

  1. Make your changes in Resi and click Save Changes.
  2. Navigate to the property dashboard in the Resi App.
  3. Click Clear Website Cache in the Quick Links panel (top-right of the property page).
  4. Wait 60–90 seconds.
  5. Go to the live website and press Ctrl+Shift+R (PC) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to hard-refresh your browser.

💡 A regular refresh (F5) may still show the old cached version in your own browser. A hard-refresh forces your browser to reload fresh from the server.

When Does the Cache Clear Automatically?

You don't always need to clear it manually. The cache clears automatically when:

  • Your PMS sync runs typically every 6 hours (depending on your PMS connection settings)

You do need to clear it manually when:

  • You've edited a content block, announcement, FAQ, gallery, or any other content and want it live sooner than the next scheduled sync.

Step-by-Step: Manual PMS Sync (Alternative Method)

Use this when PMS data (pricing, availability, floor plans) needs refreshing alongside your content change.

  1. Click Connections in the left sidebar.
  2. Find your property in the connection list.
  3. Click Sync next to the property.
  4. Watch the log — wait for a "Finished" status before checking the site.

✅ This process also clears the website cache, so you don't need to do both.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Checking the site immediately after clearing — the 60-second queue hasn't finished yet. Give it 1–2 minutes.
  • Using a regular browser refresh instead of a hard-refresh — you may still see the old cached version.
  • Clearing the cache repeatedly — one clear is enough. Pressing it multiple times doesn't speed things up.

Solution

Change still not showing after clearing cache

Did you wait 60–90 seconds AND hard-refresh? Try Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R.

The Clear Website Cache button isn't showing

This button only appears for live properties. New builds that aren't yet live won't have it — use the manual PMS sync from Connections instead.

I cleared cache but pricing looks wrong

Pricing comes from your PMS. Run a manual Sync from Connections to pull the latest data from your PMS.
