How to Add a New Blog Post to Your Resi Website

This guide provides a simple step-by-step approach to adding a new blog post to your Resi website.

  1. Access the WordPress Dashboard

    Log in to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to the Blog section. 
    Don't have a login? Send us an email! 

  2. Create a New Post

    Click "Add New Post."

  3. Enter Your Blog Title

    Type in a compelling, descriptive title for your blog post.

  4. Add Content

    Use the WordPress editor to enter and format your blog content.

  5. Set a Featured Image

    -Go to the Post Panel on the right-hand side.
    -Click "Set Featured Image."
    -Click "Upload Files" and select an image.
    -Set Alt Text for your image to improve SEO (use this free tool for guidance).

  6. Categorize Your Blog Post

    -Select the appropriate Category to help organize and filter your blog content.
    -If filtering isn’t working on your blog homepage, contact support@getresi.com for assistance.

  7. Customize Your SEO Settings

    -The Meta Title is automatically set but can be updated under SEO Settings.
    -Add a Meta Description (a short summary of your blog post) to improve search engine visibility and encourage clicks.

  8. Publish, Preview or Schedule Your Post

    -Click "Publish" to make your blog post live immediately.
    -Click "Preview" to see a preview version of your blog prior to publishing. 
    -Or schedule it for future publishing by selecting a date and time.
  9. View and Edit Your Blog Post

    -Click "View Post" to check how it appears live.
    -To make changes later, go to Blog Posts and click "Edit" next to the post you want to update.
