How to create a new announcement, edit an existing one, assign it to properties, and push it live on your websites.
Before You Start
Applies to: Resi V2 only. On V1? See the V1 version →
Note: Announcements are managed from Global Content and can be assigned to one or many properties. Editing a live announcement updates it across all properties it's currently assigned to.
Step-by-Step: Create a New Announcement
- In the left sidebar, click Global Content.
- Click Announcements.
- Click Add New.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Internal Title — only visible to your team. Make it descriptive: "Summer Special — July 2025" not "Announcement 1".
- Title — the headline displayed on the website.
- Body Text — optional supporting copy.
- Link 1 / Link 2 — up to two CTAs (e.g., "Schedule a Tour", "Learn More"). Include both a URL and display text.
- Image — optional. See What Size Should Images Be in Announcements? → for specs.
- Scroll to the bottom and assign the announcement to properties.
- Click Save.
- Navigate to each assigned property and click Clear Website Cache.
⏱️ Allow 60–90 seconds, then hard-refresh to see it live.
Step-by-Step: Edit an Existing Announcement
- Go to Global Content → Announcements.
- Click the announcement you want to edit.
💡 Check the property count shown next to each announcement before editing — it tells you how many sites will be affected by your change. - Make your changes.
- Click Save.
- Clear the cache on affected properties.
Step-by-Step: Deactivate or Remove an Announcement
- Go to Global Content → Announcements.
- Click the announcement.
- Scroll to the property assignment section and remove the properties it's assigned to, or toggle the announcement to inactive/disabled if that option is available.
- Save and clear cache on affected properties.
Scheduling an Announcement in Advance
Announcements can be scheduled to go live at a future date and time. See: How to Schedule an Announcement in Advance (V2) →
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Vague internal titles — "New Announcement" is impossible to find in a list of 30. Always use a descriptive title with a date.
- Forgetting to assign the announcement to properties — it won't appear anywhere until assigned.
- Not removing old announcements — expired specials or closed office notices left active will show on your live sites. Set a reminder to clean them up.
- Forgetting to clear the cache after saving — changes won't appear on the live site until the cache is cleared.
